Tidio Pricing Explained (2026): Plans, Fees and What You'll Pay

Why two prices? Tidio's pricing page has "Monthly" and "Annually (2 months free)" toggles. The $24.17 Starter price is the App Store's $290 yearly price divided by 12. If you pay monthly, expect the App Store's $29.

What scales the price

Tidio meters three things separately:

1. Billable conversations. A conversation is billable only when a human agent replies to it in Tidio or starts it. Unanswered messages, spam, and chats handled only by Lyro or Flows don't count. Several messages in one thread count once. Tiers: 50, 100, 250, 400, 600, 800, 1,000, 1,500, 2,000 and custom above that.
2. Lyro AI conversations. A Lyro conversation counts once the AI has replied at least once. Tiers: 50, 100, 150, 200, 300, 500, 750, 1,000 and custom.
3. Flows visitors reached. People your chatbot automations reach. Tiers run from 2,000 to 100,000 a month, then custom.

Each has its own allowance, so a busy month for one meter can push you up a tier while the other two sit unused.

Hidden and extra costs

The free AI allowance doesn't renew. The 50 Lyro conversations on Free and Starter are a one-time, lifetime allowance. Once they're used, you need the Lyro add-on.

Native Shopify actions start on Growth. Tidio's pricing table lists native Shopify actions (order details, edits and refunds from the inbox) on Growth and above, not on Free or Starter. The App Store's Lyro plan also lists native Shopify actions.

Hitting your human limit blocks replies. As our Tidio review found in Tidio's help center, once you use up your billable conversations you can't reply to new messages until you upgrade or the quota resets on the first of the month. Lyro and Flows limits work differently: Tidio's pricing page says they refresh 30 days after payment.

Plan changes wait for the next cycle. Tidio's pricing page says plan changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle, so upgrade before a sale, not during it.

Self-serve tops out at 10 agents. Free, Starter and Growth allow up to 10 seats. More agents means Plus, which starts at $300/month plus usage.

Branding. On Starter there's no option to remove Tidio branding; you need Growth plus the $16.67/month add-on, or Plus.

Worked cost examples

Published prices only.

Example 1: new store, 40 chats a month, no AI after the free 50.

• Free plan: $0. You stay under 50 human conversations.

Example 2: small store, 90 human chats and about 150 AI conversations a month.

• Starter: $29/month (App Store) or $24.17/month annually.
• Lyro: the App Store's $39/month plan covers up to 200 conversations.
• Total: $68/month billed monthly through Shopify.
• On Tidio's site, Starter plus the smallest Lyro tier (50 conversations) is $56.67/month on annual billing. The 150-conversation Lyro tier costs more; Tidio shows its price only in the calculator.

Example 3: growing store, 500 human chats, Shopify order actions, 300 AI conversations, 5,000 Flows visitors.

• Growth: from $59/month on the App Store for 250 to 1,000 conversations. The exact price at 500 conversations is set in Tidio's calculator.
• Lyro at 300 conversations and Flows at 5,000 visitors: both priced by tier in the calculator; Tidio doesn't publish per-tier prices in text.
• Budget: at least $59 + $39 + $29 = $127/month at App Store starting prices, likely more once Lyro passes 200 conversations.

How to pay less

• Pay annually. "Annually (2 months free)" means 12 months for the price of 10. Starter drops from $29 to $24.17 a month.
• Let Lyro and Flows take the easy questions. Those chats don't use your human allowance, so a Lyro tier can be cheaper than moving up a Growth conversation tier.
• Don't reply to spam. Only conversations a human replies to or starts count.
• Stay on Free while you can. 50 human conversations, 10 seats and the inbox for chat, email, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp cost nothing.
• Use the 7-day trial to size Lyro. Count how many AI conversations a normal week produces before you pick a tier.

Is Tidio free? Yes. The Free plan includes 50 human-handled conversations a month, 10 seats, 100 Flows visitors a month and 50 one-time Lyro AI conversations.

How much is Tidio per month? Starter is $29/month billed monthly on the Shopify App Store, or $24.17/month billed annually on Tidio's site. Growth starts at $59/month on the App Store or $49.17/month billed annually.

How much does Lyro AI cost? Lyro starts at $32.50/month for 50 conversations on annual billing on Tidio's site. The Shopify App Store lists a Lyro plan at $39/month or $390/year for up to 200 conversations.

Do AI conversations count against my Tidio plan? No. Chats handled entirely by Lyro or Flows don't count as billable conversations. They use their own Lyro and Flows allowances instead.

Can I bill Tidio through Shopify? Yes, if you install the app from the Shopify App Store. Tidio's help center says that if you add Tidio with its JavaScript code instead, billing goes directly through Tidio.
