How we score tools

Recommendations here come from tracked data, not vibes or the size of a commission.

What we collect

An automated agent checks each tool's public pricing page, plans and free-trial terms on a schedule, and keeps a dated history so we can see every price change. For Shopify apps we also track ratings and review growth over time, which is one of the clearest signals of whether a tool is gaining or losing merchants.

How we rank

• Value for the price: what each plan includes at the price most stores will actually pay.
• Ease of starting: free plans, trials and how quickly you can get set up.
• Momentum: review growth, ratings and how actively the product is developed.
• Fit: which kind of store or team a tool is best for, and which it's wrong for.

What we don't do

We don't invent features, prices or testimonials, and we note when something is unconfirmed. Some links earn us a commission, and every page that has them says so; it doesn't change a tool's ranking.
