Later
LaterLaterSocial mediaLater is a social media scheduling tool focused on visual platforms like Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, with a Link in Bio page, best-time-to-post suggestions and analytics. Paid from $18.75/mo, 14-day trial.Click for Scout's full analysis is our top pick because most ecommerce social content is visual, and Later is built around planning a visual calendar for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and similar networks.
Pricing (Later pricing page, billed yearly, described as 25% off):
- Starter: $18.75/month. 1 social set (8 profiles), 1 user, 30 posts per profile a month, 5 AI credits a month, Link in Bio, analytics up to 3 months.
- Growth: $37.50/month. 2 social sets (16 profiles), 2 users, 180 posts per profile a month, 50 AI credits, social inbox, Instagram product tagging, analytics up to 1 year.
- Scale: $82.50/month. 6 social sets (48 profiles), 4 users, unlimited posts, 100 AI credits, custom analytics, Meta Ads analytics, competitive benchmarking and brand mentions, analytics up to 2 years.
Add-ons on Growth and Scale: extra social sets at $11.25/month, extra AI credits at $3.75/month for 100, and extra users at $3.75/month on the plan cards (the FAQ on the same page says $5 per additional user, so confirm at checkout). Starter has no add-ons. All plans have a 14-day free trial.
Why it suits stores. Link in Bio on every plan gives your Instagram and TikTok profiles a landing page with buttons and linked posts. On Growth and up, Instagram product tagging lets you tag products from your Instagram Shop when you schedule. Best-time-to-post suggestions and UGC collection are part of the product.
Watch out. Starter's 30 posts per profile a month is about one a day. If you post several Stories or Reels a day, you need Growth. X is not in Later's list of supported networks. There is no free plan.
Skip Later if you need social listening or a team inbox with routing, or your main channel is X. Canva
CanvaCanvaDesignCanva is a browser-based design tool with templates, stock assets and AI features for making social posts, ads, product images, presentations and more. Free plan, paid from $12/mo, free trial.Click for Scout's full analysis is the budget pick. If you already design your social posts in Canva, you can schedule them from the same place without a second subscription.
What its official pages say. Scheduling is available on Canva Pro, Canva Business, Canva Education and Canva for Nonprofits. Canva's scheduling page names Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram Business accounts and LinkedIn Pages, and its Content Planner page names TikTok as well; Canva says more platforms are supported and points you to the Share menu for the full list. Each user can connect up to 80 social accounts per team.
Pricing (Canva pricing page, yearly prices): Pro US$144/year for one person; Business US$250 per person per year. Monthly billing exists, but its price was not shown.
Watch out.
- Each design can be scheduled to one platform at a time, so posting the same graphic to four networks means scheduling it four times.
- Instagram scheduling must be done from a desktop browser.
- Multi-design documents cannot be published to Content Planner yet.
- Canva's pages we read do not mention a social inbox, product tagging or detailed analytics. It schedules posts; it does not manage your social accounts.
- Pro is one person only.
Skip Canva's scheduler if you post to several networks every day or need to reply to comments and DMs in one place. Hootsuite
HootsuiteHootsuiteSocial mediaHootsuite is a social media management suite for scheduling posts, handling messages in one inbox, reporting on results and listening for brand mentions. Paid from $99/mo, 14-day trial.Click for Scout's full analysis is a full social media management suite. It is the right pick when social is a team function with customer conversations, not just a posting calendar.
Pricing (Hootsuite plans page, billed yearly; monthly billing is available but its prices are not listed):
- Standard: from $99/user/month. 10 social accounts, unlimited scheduling, one inbox for replies, analytics with 5 competitor benchmarks, AI post and image generation, brand and competitor monitoring.
- Professional: from $199/user/month. Unlimited accounts, workflow automation, automated replies and DM workflows, custom and scheduled reports, 20 competitor benchmarks, 90-day trend forecasting, AI smart replies.
- Advanced: up to $399/user/month. Inbox assignment and auto-routing to teammates, branded reports and external sharing.
- Enterprise: custom, with social attribution and ROI reporting.
Every plan includes Wisdom, Hootsuite's AI assistant.
Watch out. There is no free plan. The 14-day trial limits you to 10 to 20 posts a day per organization depending on plan, and bulk scheduling is off during the trial. Billing starts when the trial ends unless you cancel. Pricing is per user, so every teammate multiplies the bill.
Skip Hootsuite if you are a solo owner or a two-person store that mainly needs a posting calendar. Common questions
Is there a free social media scheduler for ecommerce? Not among these. Later and Hootsuite have no free plan, only 14-day trials. Canva has a free plan, but its scheduling is listed for Pro, Business, Education and Nonprofits.
Can I tag Shopify products in scheduled Instagram posts? Later's Growth and Scale plans include Instagram product tagging from your Instagram Shop. Hootsuite's and Canva's pricing pages do not mention product tagging.
Which scheduler supports TikTok? Later lists TikTok, and Canva's Content Planner page names TikTok. Hootsuite's plans page does not give a full network list.
Why is Hootsuite so much more expensive than Later? Hootsuite prices per user and includes a shared inbox, social listening, competitor benchmarking and team workflows. Later is mainly a visual scheduler with lighter inbox and analytics features on higher plans.
How we put this together
We did not test these tools hands-on. Every fact and price comes from each company's own pages, read in November 2026: Later's pricing page; Hootsuite's plans page; and Canva's pricing page, its scheduling page and its Content Planner page for teams. Prices shown are yearly-billing rates because monthly rates were not published for Later or Hootsuite. Confirm current prices before you subscribe.
