Rytr: pricing, plans and alternatives
Rytr now presents itself mainly as an AI relationship manager: it pulls context from email, Slack, calendars and meeting notes to prepare briefings, track promises and draft follow-ups. Its older AI writing assistant lives on as the Create product, which drafts emails, posts, ads and page copy in many languages and tones.
Billed monthly; the pricing page says yearly billing saves 20%. Higher tiers mainly raise limits on connected sources, active relationships, Engage actions and research runs.
Best for
Solo operators who want a cheap AI writer for short copy and emails, plus help keeping track of client follow-ups.
Watch out for
The free plan caps writing at 10,000 characters a month, and the product has shifted toward relationship management, so most of the higher tiers' extra value is in Engage limits, not writing.
What Rytr does
- Create: AI writing assistant with 40+ use cases, 30+ languages and 22 tones or your own voice
- Engage: daily briefings, meeting prep and follow-up and commitment tracking
- Browser extension that works inside Gmail, Slack, LinkedIn and other text boxes
- Integrations with Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Google Calendar, Google Meet and Granola
- Drafted follow-ups are not sent until you approve them
