Hypotenuse AI

Hypotenuse AIHypotenuse AIAI writingHypotenuse AI writes product descriptions, meta tags, category pages and blog posts for online stores, and has grown into an AI product information platform for large catalogs. Free trial.Click for Scout's full analysis positions itself as an AI product content platform for ecommerce teams, not a general writing assistant.

What it does for stores. The Basic plan includes the product description generator plus 20+ other ecommerce content types, such as meta titles and descriptions, category pages and blog articles, in 40+ languages. Both plans list "access to bulk tools" and bulk CSV/XLSX import. Basic imports in Hypotenuse's own format; Enterprise accepts your own format.

Shopify. Its Shopify integration page describes a one-click import of your product attributes, bulk generation with several variations per product, an editor for review, and bulk publishing of approved descriptions back to your store. It says existing HTML, tables and layout stay intact and that it does not interfere with other apps such as size tables and review plugins. The pricing page itself does not list Shopify as a plan feature, and only the Ecommerce Enterprise plan lists site integrations (as custom), so confirm which plan includes the Shopify connection before you buy.

Pricing. No prices are published. Basic is "Custom" with 1 seat, 30 document uploads and 1,000 HypoArt images on the premium algorithm. Ecommerce Enterprise is also custom and adds attribute enrichment, tagging and categorization, PIM management, bulk AI image editing and custom integrations, and it requires booking a demo.

Watch out: you cannot see a price without talking to them, and the trial's length and limits are not stated.

Skip it if: you have a few dozen products. You would be buying catalog-scale tooling you do not need.

Jasper

JasperJasperAI writingJasper is an AI writing platform for marketing teams that keeps output on-brand using stored brand voices, product knowledge and audiences. Paid from $69/mo, 7-day trial.Click for Scout's full analysis is an AI writing platform for marketing teams that keeps copy on-brand using stored brand context.

Pricing. Pro is $69 per seat per month on monthly billing, or $59 per seat per month billed yearly with a 12-month commitment. Pro is one user; Jasper's FAQ says additional users require Business, which is custom-priced, unlimited users, and starts with a 12-month commitment. There is no free plan, only a 7-day trial on Pro that requires a card and rolls into a paid plan unless you cancel.

What Pro includes. 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets, 3 Audiences, the Canvas workspace and agents for core marketing workflows. Jasper lists product description, product bullets and product page agents among its features.

What Pro does not include. Jasper Grid, the bulk catalog tool, and API access are Business-only. That matters for stores: on Pro you would generate descriptions one at a time or in small batches, then paste them into Shopify. Jasper's integrations page does not list Shopify.

Skip it if: you are one person writing a few listings a week. Our Jasper vs Copy.ai comparison covers the cheaper option.

Anyword

AnywordAnywordAI writingAnyword is an AI copywriting platform for marketing teams that scores and predicts how well copy will perform before it is published. Paid from $49/mo, 7-day trial.Click for Scout's full analysis is a copywriting platform whose main feature is predicting how well a piece of copy will perform before you publish it.

Pricing. Starter is $49/month ($39 billed yearly) with 1 seat, 1 brand voice and unlimited copy generation. Data-Driven is $99/month ($79 billed yearly) with 3 seats (up to 10, at $59/month per extra seat or $49 yearly), 5 workspaces and 3 brand voices. Business and Enterprise are custom. The 7-day trial is limited to 2,500 words, and Anyword says it does not offer refunds on canceled subscriptions.

Predictions. The pricing page gives two different counts for monthly predictions: 50 on Starter and 100 on Data-Driven in one section, and 100 and 175 in the yearly section. Real-time predictions while you edit are a Data-Driven feature.

For product pages. Anyword's pricing page does not mention product descriptions, ecommerce, Shopify or Amazon. Its comparison grid lists CSV templates for bulk generation, but it does not make clear which plans include them.

Skip it if: your main job is writing hundreds of product descriptions. Anyword is a better fit for ads, emails and landing pages where you want to compare versions.

Rytr

RytrRytrAI writingRytr now presents itself mainly as an AI relationship manager: it pulls context from email, Slack, calendars and meeting notes to prepare briefings, track promises and draft follow-ups. Free plan, paid from $9/mo.Click for Scout's full analysis now leads with an AI relationship manager (Engage), but its original writing assistant lives on as Create, with 40+ writing use cases and 30+ languages.

Pricing. Free is "free forever" with 10,000 characters a month. Lite is $9/month with unlimited characters. Personal ($19) and Pro ($49) mostly raise limits on connected sources, relationships and Engage actions, which have nothing to do with product copy. Pro also adds custom use cases. Yearly billing saves 20%, but yearly prices are not listed.

Watch out: there is no Shopify connection or bulk catalog tool, and Rytr does not say how many people can use one plan.

Skip it if: you need bulk generation or a store integration. Rytr is a cheap drafting tool, nothing more.

Copy.ai

Copy.aiCopy.aiAI writingCopy.ai is an AI platform that now focuses on sales and go-to-market teams after its acquisition by Fullcast. Paid from $29/mo, free trial.Click for Scout's full analysis is now owned by Fullcast and focused on sales and go-to-market teams. The relevant plan for a store is Chat: $29/month, or $24/month billed yearly ($288/year), with 5 seats, unlimited words in chat, unlimited chat projects and access to models from OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini. There is no free plan; Copy.ai offers a trial but does not state its length.

The next plans up, Growth ($1,000/month), Expansion ($2,000/month) and Scale ($3,000/month), are billed annually and aimed at sales organizations. The pricing page does not mention product descriptions or brand voice controls on Chat.

Skip it if: you want ecommerce-specific workflows. Copy.ai Chat is useful as cheap shared access to several AI models, not as a product copy tool.

The pattern: per-seat pricing makes Jasper the most expensive way for a small team to share a writer, while the catalog-scale tools (Jasper Grid, Hypotenuse Enterprise) require a sales conversation.

Common questions

Which AI product description generator connects to Shopify? Of the tools here, only Hypotenuse AI publishes a Shopify integration page, which describes importing products, generating descriptions in bulk and publishing them back. Jasper's integrations page does not list Shopify, and Anyword, Rytr and Copy.ai do not mention it on their pricing pages.

Is there a free AI product description generator? Rytr has a free plan with 10,000 characters a month, which covers a handful of short descriptions; it has no trial. Jasper and Anyword offer 7-day trials only, and Anyword's trial is capped at 2,500 words. Copy.ai has no free plan and offers a trial of unstated length.

Can Jasper write product descriptions in bulk? Jasper's bulk tool, Grid, is listed as a Business feature, which is custom-priced. On the $69 Pro plan, you write descriptions in Canvas rather than across a whole catalog at once.

How much does Hypotenuse AI cost? Hypotenuse AI does not publish prices. Both its Basic and Ecommerce Enterprise plans are listed as custom, so you need to contact sales or book a demo.

How we put this together

We did not test these tools hands-on. Every fact and price comes from each company's own pages: Hypotenuse AI's pricing page and Shopify integration page; Jasper's pricing page; Anyword's pricing page; Rytr's pricing page; Copy.ai's pricing page and its Fullcast acquisition announcement; and Writesonic's pricing page. All were checked in November 2026. Prices and plan contents change, so confirm them on each vendor's pricing page before you sign up.
