For most Shopify store owners, PageFly is the best page builder: it has the largest review base of the three, a free plan that lets you publish, and A/B testing from $39/month. If you want unlimited published pages for the lowest price, pick GemPages ($29/month). Shogun only makes sense for larger brands with a content team and a budget of $199/month or more.

GemPages: the cheapest way to publish unlimited pages

GemPagesGemPagesPage buildersGemPages is a drag-and-drop page builder for Shopify that creates landing, product, collection and other store pages. Free plan, paid from $29/mo.Click for Scout's full analysis has been on the Shopify App Store since 2017. Its help center says it supports homepage, product, collection, blog, FAQ and landing pages.

Pricing

  • Free: 1 published page, unlimited drafts, the drag-and-drop builder, email and chat support, and a sales funnel with post-purchase upsells capped at $100 of upsell volume per month.
  • Build ($29/month): unlimited published pages and all page types, 20 theme sections, 400+ prebuilt CRO sections, AI Image to Layout for 300 sections, and version history (50 records per page).
  • Optimize ($59/month): 100 theme sections, unlimited AI Image to Layout, the headless "Instant Landing Page," scheduled publishing, priority live chat, and uncapped upsell revenue with a commission that scales as you grow.
  • Enterprise ($199/month): unlimited theme sections, priority video call support, and upsells with no commission fee.

The pricing page also shows annual prices, but its FAQ says "GemPages no longer offers the Yearly Plan to new customers." There is no time-limited trial; the pricing page says GemPages "doesn't offer a traditional time-limited free trial" and points you to the free plan instead.

Notable features

  • AI Image to Layout: turn an image or a URL into an editable layout. The Build plan caps this at 300 sections; Optimize and up are unlimited.
  • CRO elements: the App Store listing lists countdown timers, stock counters, bundles and before/after sliders.
  • Funnels: post-purchase upsells and downsells. Offer A/B testing is listed for the funnel feature. Full page A/B testing is sold as a separate product, GemX, which isn't priced on the GemPages pricing page.
  • Templates: the help center cites a library of 400+ templates.
  • GemPages MCP: every plan includes MCP access, which lets you connect GemPages to an AI assistant.

Good fit if: you need lots of published pages (say, a landing page per ad campaign or per product) and don't want to pay per page. At $29/month you get unlimited publishing, which is the lowest price for that among these three.

Skip it if: you want built-in page A/B testing and analytics in the same app. GemPages points to Google Analytics and Shopify Analytics for page performance, and its page testing lives in a separate product.

PageFly: the best all-round pick for most stores

PageFlyPageFlyPage buildersPageFly is a Shopify page builder for landing, product and other store pages, with an AI assistant, A/B testing and heatmaps on higher plans. Free plan, paid from $24/mo.Click for Scout's full analysis has the most reviews of the three on the Shopify App Store (5,918 at a 4.9 rating when checked) and says it is used by "230,000+ Shopify merchants." It has been listed since 2017. The App Store listing now calls it an "AI Page Builder" and an "AI CRO funnel builder."

Pricing

PageFly changed its plans in April 2026. Its help center, last updated October 30, 2026, lists these current plans:

  • Free: 1 published slot (one page or one section), 10 AI credits per month, 320+ templates, and 24/7 live chat. No A/B testing, and dashboard analytics are demo-only.
  • Builder ($24 to $34/month): 5 to 15 published slots, 80 to 120 AI credits, dashboard analytics, and AI Translator. Monthly billing only.
  • Optimize ($39 to $94/month): 20 to 75 published slots, 140 to 360 AI credits, and A/B testing.
  • Accelerate ($99/month or $990/year): unlimited published pages and sections, 400 AI credits, A/B testing, sales funnel, heatmaps, AI Page Checkup, an AEO optimizer, and cart drawer and Markets (beta).
  • Power ($199/month or $1,990/year): unlimited slots, 800 AI credits, and unlimited A/B tests and heatmaps.
  • Enterprise (from $299/month): 1,600 AI credits per store, priority support and a page health monitor.

The price within Builder and Optimize depends on how many published slots you choose. Note that PageFly's own pricing page at pagefly.io still showed an older plan layout when checked ($18 "Pay as you go" and $99 "Unlimited"), so confirm the current price inside the app before you subscribe. Neither the App Store listing nor the help center mentions a free trial; the free plan has no time limit.

If you're on an older PageFly plan, you keep your price and slots. Once you switch to a current plan, the help center says "you cannot go back to the older plan."

Notable features

  • FlyMate AI: describe a page and the AI drafts it, or fix sections by prompt. Usage is metered in AI credits.
  • AI Page Checkup: scores a page and ranks what to fix.
  • A/B testing: "A/B test two versions and publish the winner in one click," from the Optimize plan up.
  • Heatmaps and sales funnel analytics: see where visitors click and stop scrolling, and which step loses the sale.
  • AI Translator: localize page content in one click.
  • Page speed: the pricing page says the app code is optimized "to never let PageFly slow your page down" and mentions a lazy-load feature. That is PageFly's own claim, not an independent measurement.
  • Integrations: the listing names Judge.me, Loox, Yotpo, Okendo, Klaviyo, Omnisend, Meta Pixel and Google Analytics, among others.

Good fit if: you want one app that builds pages, tests them and shows you what's working. Optimize at $39/month is the cheapest way among these three to get page A/B testing and analytics in one place.

Skip it if: you need many published pages on a tight budget. Builder starts at 5 slots, and unlimited slots start at $99/month. GemPages gives you unlimited publishing at $29/month.

Shogun: for larger brands with content teams

ShogunShogunPage buildersShogun is a Shopify page builder aimed at larger brands, with reusable content sections, scheduling and content syncing between stores. Free plan, paid from $39/mo, 10-day trial.Click for Scout's full analysis is the oldest of the three (listed since 2015). Its App Store listing shows the Built for Shopify badge and says it is "Shopify Plus Certified."

Pricing

  • Draft Mode (free): create draft pages with the full visual builder and all templates, but you can't publish anything.
  • Build ($39/month, or $31/month billed annually): 25 published pages, page analytics, reusable content sections, and A/B testing and personalization within a usage cap of up to 2,000 MTUs per month.
  • Grow ($199/month, or $159/month annually): unlimited published pages, content scheduling, global content sections, advanced media management, and up to 10,000 MTUs per month.
  • Advanced ($499/month, or $399/month annually): content syncing between stores (one license per store), custom CMS collections, custom code elements, and up to 50,000 MTUs per month.

Paid plans include a 10-day free trial, per the App Store listing. Shogun also sells A/B testing and personalization as separate products. Its A/B Testing Pro plan is $39/month with a 14-day free trial, and its personalization plan is $199/month. The annual figures for the A/B testing plans on the pricing page didn't add up when checked, so they're left out here.

Notable features

  • Page types: product pages, collection pages, landing pages for ad campaigns, and site pages such as the homepage.
  • Shopify 2.0 import: import and edit existing Shopify 2.0 pages and sections.
  • Reusable content: templates and sections you build once and reuse across campaigns, plus custom elements written in Liquid, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Scheduling: schedule seasonal and launch pages ahead of time (Grow and up).
  • Multi-store syncing: sync content across stores (Advanced).
  • Integrations: the listing names Klaviyo, Yotpo, Google Analytics, Instagram, YouTube and Adobe Typekit.

Shogun's pricing and page builder pages don't mention AI page generation, page speed claims, or headless/Hydrogen support, so none of those are counted here.

Good fit if: you run a larger brand or several stores, have someone who manages content full time, and need scheduling, reusable global sections and store-to-store syncing.

Skip it if: you're a small or new store. You can't publish anything for free, Build caps you at 25 pages, and unlimited pages start at $199/month. GemPages and PageFly both let you publish one page for free and cost less to scale.

Will a page builder slow down my store? Any app that adds code to your pages can affect speed. PageFly claims its code is optimized not to slow pages down and offers lazy loading; GemPages and Shogun make no specific speed claims on the pages checked. Run your pages through Google PageSpeed Insights after you publish to see for yourself.

How we put this together

Facts and prices in this post came from each tool's own pricing page, help center or product pages, and its Shopify App Store listing, checked on November 1, 2026. App Store ratings and review counts are as shown on that date. We did not use third-party review sites for any facts.
