For most Shopify stores, Judge.me is the best review app: its free plan has no review or order cap, and the paid plan is a flat $15/month. Loox is worth its higher price mainly for photo-led brands that want referrals built in. Okendo makes most sense for larger brands that want reviews and loyalty on one platform.

Which one should you pick?

  • Most stores, especially new or small ones: Judge.meJudge.meReviewsJudge.me is a product review app that collects and displays product and store reviews, including photo and video reviews. Free plan, paid from $15/mo, 15-day trial.Click for Scout's full analysis. The free plan covers what most stores need, and $15/month adds almost everything else. No other app here comes close on price once you pass a few hundred orders a month.
  • Fashion, beauty and other photo-led brands that want referrals in the same app: LooxLooxReviewsLoox is a Shopify review app focused on photo and video reviews, with review request emails, display widgets and a built-in referral program. Free plan, paid from $49.99/mo, 14-day trial.Click for Scout's full analysis, if the budget allows. Its paid plan bundles video reviews, referrals and Google/Meta/TikTok syndication, but it is billed by order volume.
  • Larger brands that want reviews, loyalty and Google Seller Ratings from one vendor: OkendoOkendoReviewsOkendo is a reviews and loyalty platform for Shopify that collects reviews and UGC and also runs points, VIP and referral programs, quizzes and surveys. Free plan, paid from $19/mo, 14-day trial.Click for Scout's full analysis. Its listing is now titled "Okendo: Reviews & Loyalty", and it is the only one of the three that offers Seller Ratings, though at the top of its range.

Judge.me: best value for most stores

Judge.meJudge.meReviewsJudge.me is a product review app that collects and displays product and store reviews, including photo and video reviews. Free plan, paid from $15/mo, 15-day trial.Click for Scout's full analysis has two plans and doesn't charge by order volume, which makes it the easiest of the three to budget for.

Forever Free ($0). The Shopify App Store listing and Judge.me's pricing page say the free plan includes:

  • Unlimited product and store reviews
  • Unlimited photo and video reviews
  • Unlimited review requests (per Judge.me's plans and pricing help article)
  • Review widget, star rating badge and carousels
  • Google rich snippets and Google reviews sync
  • Trust badges
  • A reviews importer and AliExpress sync

Most review apps put photo and video reviews behind a paywall or an order cap. Judge.me doesn't, and that is the main reason it is the default recommendation.

Awesome ($15/month). It comes with a 15-day free trial, available once per store. Judge.me's help article says billing is monthly only, with no annual plan. Awesome adds:

  • AI review replies, summaries and translations
  • Google Shopping product ratings sync, plus Meta and TikTok Shop sync
  • Automatic review reminders and a customizable email editor
  • Coupons and referrals
  • A Q&A widget and a Reviews Page, among 16 widgets
  • 130+ integrations, including Klaviyo and Gorgias
  • Full widget and CSS customization
  • SMS review requests, which Judge.me's help docs describe through an SMSBump integration

Things to know:

  • Google Shopping requirements. Judge.me's help docs say the Google Shopping sync needs at least 50 eligible product reviews and a products feed already submitted to Google Merchant Center.
  • No Seller Ratings. The same article says Judge.me does not currently support sending store ratings (Seller Ratings) to Google.
  • Reminders cost $15. Automatic review reminders are on Awesome, not the free plan, according to Judge.me's pricing FAQ. Reminders are one of the main ways to get more reviews, so plan on paying $15/month once reviews start to matter.
  • Importing. Judge.me says you can import reviews from Yotpo, Loox, Amazon, Etsy and other platforms, and from a CSV file.

Who should skip it: brands that need Google Seller Ratings, or that want a single vendor for reviews and a full loyalty program with points and VIP tiers.

App Store rating: 5.0 out of 5 from 49,436 reviews, seen November 1, 2026.

Loox: built around photo and video reviews

LooxLooxReviewsLoox is a Shopify review app focused on photo and video reviews, with review request emails, display widgets and a built-in referral program. Free plan, paid from $49.99/mo, 14-day trial.Click for Scout's full analysis launched on the Shopify App Store in 2015 and carries the "Built for Shopify" badge. The listing's free plan carries the label "Beginner". Pricing is tied to order volume.

Free ($0, up to 500 orders). It includes:

  • Review request emails and reminders
  • Discounts for customers who leave photo reviews
  • 17+ widgets, including snippets and carousels
  • Google rich snippets and schema
  • Turning reviews into social posts and stories
  • Shop app syndication
  • 24/7 chat and email support

The listing doesn't say whether the 500-order limit is per month or in total. Loox's help article on monthly quotas says that once you reach 500 orders on the Beginner plan, "the plan will no longer be available, and you'll be prompted to upgrade to the Convert Plan." The same article caps Beginner review emails at 2,000 per month.

Convert ($49.99/month). It includes 300 orders in the base price plus $50 for each extra 300 orders, with a 14-day free trial. It adds:

  • Video reviews
  • AI smart sorting, review highlights, summaries, review stories, translations and replies
  • Reviews on product bundles
  • Post-purchase and on-site referrals
  • Google, Meta and TikTok syndication
  • Integrations, API access and webhooks

Unlimited ($299.99/month). It comes with a 14-day trial, unlimited access to all features and priority support. The help docs say it has no order or email limits.

Things to know:

  • Costs rise quickly with volume. Using the listed prices, a store with 1,000 orders a month on Convert would pay $49.99 plus three $50 blocks, or $199.99/month. Judge.me Awesome stays at $15 at any volume.
  • Video reviews aren't free. Photo reviews are part of the free plan's feature set; video reviews start on Convert.
  • Google Shopping needs Convert. Loox's help center says the Google Shopping integration is available "on the Convert plan and up". It requires reviews that meet Google's Product Ratings policy, including more than 50 reviews, plus at least two matching product identifiers (ID, MPN or GTIN).
  • SMS goes through partners. The listing doesn't mention native SMS review requests; it lists Klaviyo and Omnisend as integrations for email and SMS.
  • Importing. The listing advertises "easy migration & import from other apps."
  • English only. The listing names English as the app's only language.

Who it's for: visual brands where customer photos and videos do the selling, and that want referrals and social syndication without adding another app.

Who should skip it: stores on a tight budget, stores with high order volume and thin margins, and stores outside English-speaking markets.

App Store rating: 4.9 out of 5 from 10,007 reviews, seen November 1, 2026.

Okendo: reviews plus loyalty for growing brands

OkendoOkendoReviewsOkendo is a reviews and loyalty platform for Shopify that collects reviews and UGC and also runs points, VIP and referral programs, quizzes and surveys. Free plan, paid from $19/mo, 14-day trial.Click for Scout's full analysis launched on the Shopify App Store in 2018. Its listing now covers loyalty (points, VIP tiers, referrals and rewards) as well as reviews. Plans are capped by monthly orders.

Free ($0, up to 50 orders/month). It includes:

  • Automated review request emails
  • Smart review form
  • Review rewards engine
  • Review displays and review grouping
  • Google SEO snippets
  • Review moderation

Essential ($19/month, or $204/year). It covers up to 200 orders/month and comes with a 14-day free trial. The listing shows "Everything in Free" and doesn't name any extra features, so the main thing you pay for is the higher order cap.

Growth ($119/month, or $1,308/year). It covers up to 1,500 orders/month, with a 14-day trial. It adds:

  • AI review summaries and AI review keywords
  • TikTok Shop integration
  • A Q&A widget

Power ($299/month, or $3,288/year). It covers up to 3,500 orders/month, with a 14-day trial. It adds:

  • Review campaigns
  • Advanced CSS editor
  • Email and SMS integrations
  • Advanced reporting
  • Managed onboarding

Okendo's own pricing page also lists Advanced and Enterprise tiers and bundles (Reviews with Loyalty, Referrals, Quizzes or Surveys). The bundles are priced through sales rather than published.

Things to know:

  • Google Seller Ratings sit at the top of the range. Okendo's help center is inconsistent here: one article describes Seller Ratings as included on Enterprise and available as a $99/month add-on on other plans, while its Seller Ratings FAQ says they are "available on the Enterprise plan and above". Confirm with Okendo before you count on them. Eligibility requires at least 100 eligible site reviews collected in the last 24 months and an average rating of at least 3.5 stars. Neither Judge.me nor Loox offers this.
  • Google Shopping product ratings. Okendo's help docs describe the integration and its requirements: a product feed in Merchant Center, at least 50 reviews in the feed, and an MPN or GTIN on each product. The docs don't say which plan includes it, and the pricing page marks it as an "Add-on."
  • AI starts at $119/month. AI summaries and keywords begin on Growth.
  • Importing. The listing includes review import and export and review migration.
  • The order caps are low at the entry level. Fifty orders a month on the free plan and 200 on Essential means many stores will reach Growth ($119/month) sooner than they expect.

Who it's for: established brands that want reviews, loyalty and referrals from one vendor and can pay for Growth or above, especially if Google Seller Ratings matter to their ad strategy.

Who should skip it: new stores and small stores. Judge.me's free plan has no order cap, while Okendo's caps at 50 orders a month.

App Store rating: 4.8 out of 5 from 1,445 reviews, seen November 1, 2026.

1,000 $0 (or $15) $199.99 (Convert + 3 extra blocks) $119 (Growth)
3,000 $0 (or $15) $299.99 (Unlimited is cheaper than Convert's $499.99) $299 (Power)

Price is the biggest difference between these three apps. Judge.me's paid plan costs the same at every volume. Loox and Okendo charge more as you grow.

Features compared side by side

Collecting reviews. All three send automated review request emails. Judge.me gives unlimited requests on the free plan but saves automatic reminders for Awesome. Loox includes emails and reminders on its free plan. Okendo includes automated request emails from the free plan up. For SMS, Judge.me's help docs describe it through an integration on Awesome. Loox points to Klaviyo and Omnisend. Okendo lists "Email & SMS Integrations" on Power.

Photo and video. Judge.me is the only one of the three that lists unlimited photo and video reviews on its free plan. Loox includes photo-review incentives free and starts video reviews on Convert. Okendo supports both.

Google. All three add rich snippets so star ratings can appear in search results. Judge.me (Awesome) and Loox (Convert) document Google Shopping product ratings sync. Okendo documents it too, but doesn't say which plan includes it. Only Okendo offers Google Seller Ratings, and its help center ties them to the Enterprise plan.

AI. Judge.me puts AI replies, summaries and translations on its $15 plan. Loox puts its AI tools on Convert at $49.99. Okendo starts AI on Growth at $119.

Switching. All three advertise review import or migration, so you can start with one app and move later.

How we put this together

We did not install or test these apps. Every fact and price in this post comes from each tool's own pricing page, help center and Shopify App Store listing, checked on November 1, 2026. App Store ratings and review counts are the figures shown on those listings that day. Prices, plan limits and features change often, so confirm current terms on each tool's pricing page before you subscribe. Where the official pages didn't state something clearly, we say so in the text.
